You know how you know the devil is liar? When he has your GPS send you to 3 different, very out of the way locations and has you running 45 minutes late in the hopes that you will head back home and miss the truth bombs being dropped at book club. Luckily I’m made of tenacious stuff…and large chunks of FOMO, so I eventually found my way to where I was “post to be” and it was a goodie.
This time last year I was in a dark and aimless space. The previous year before (2014) had left off on a rather horrendous note and honestly, aside from relief at seeing the back of it, I mostly felt mountains of trepidation for the 12 months panned out right in front of me. . The thought of the blank canvas that was 2015 filled me with dread. Lots of dread. I had no purpose. I had no intentions. I was just exhausted.

I know in the Northern parts of the world that this the time of the year you all wax lyrical about pumpkins, the onset of Fall and cute ways to wrap a scarf around your neck (my IG timeline can currently testify to that). Whereas, South of the Equator you’ll find that this month is a favourite for all sorts of (selfish) reasons *ahem*☺
