Valentine’s Lunch at PS Cafe & Pizzeria

I’m a huge fan of Valentine’s Day, yes despite it’s deep roots in capitalism and commercialism (blah blah *eye-roll*). The Mills & Boon part of me, that refuses to die, will celebrate this day any way I can and this year’s Valentine’s Day was spent at Pariah State’s latest baby, PS Cafe & Pizzeria in Belgravia.

Let me start this post off by openly declaring that two hours before this game kicked off, this past Saturday, I was thoroughly convinced I was about to watch The Sharks play against The Bulls *shrugs*. “Why was I in attendance at all?” you may ask, well mostly because I was “informed” (read: ordered, with no room for negotiation) that I would be there by friends and in part because FOMO is real and watching any sport live is lots more fun than catching it on the telly. I’m not a big fan of events scheduled after 3:00pm on a Sunday because they interfere with my nap schedule. This past Sunday, however, FOMO (fear of missing out) and curiosity won the day as I found myself attending my first “Unplugged Zimbabwe” music festival. Family, friends and frenemies alike congregated at Palm Estates in Greyston Park for some summertime frolicking to some easy-going, local musical accompaniment.
